Car Washes???
I haven't use a drive through because the touch free ones don't seem to get the car clean and the brush ones will swirl your clear-coat something fierce.
At home in case of water restriction, closed garage, wash bucket, rinse bucket, one panel at a time, beer between each panel.

I have never trief the touchless but I am a little annal about washing my car
Here is a video presentation on how to use Adams Waterless Wash. Unless your car is full of mud or rock salt, this is a good alternative if you can't use outside water.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
If you sign up (become a member, every 10th wash is Free, your birthday is free, AND if for ANY REASON the car is not clean up to 3 days you can go and get it redone for FREE!!
To be honest I have not washed my car "myself" in over a year they charge $17 and it's WELL WORTH IT
I do go over it every now and then with a spray detailer (Zaino or an equivalent) .. they put stuff on the wheels to make then look good (you have a choice of hi shine or normal, which just makes them look very black "my choice" ...

This is how it normally looks (the blond is not always with it)...

I only use C-Magic stuff on everything. Don't know about the other stuff but, I'm sure it's good. I spoke the owner, who lives down the road and he is the KING of service with great stuff for your car. You got a problem, he will fix it or it's free. If you ask, I'm sure he will baby sit your kid to make it right!!! You will have to work that out with him...LOL!!!

Like I said above, I go to splash, and the guys who wash use a large glove that looks like a soft type of glove to wash...There is another "Hand Wash" not too far, & they pull the car into a bay, & use a "High Pressure" wand to spray the car
I would think this is OK ONLY IF the car has a lot of mud, or is covered with dead bugs from driving on the interstate at high speed...But for normal lite dirt, I prefer they do it the old fashioned way, with the big washing mitt by hand.. So i NEVER go there I'm afraid the high pressure will take off the waxetc... etc.. so I stick with Splash...
I just do NOT like them using high pressure on my car...
Oh.... For you guys in Westchester near Brewster, there is a "Detail" shop "Q - Tip" they wax my car, and use Lexol on the leather, clean the engine, use some kind of black shine on the dash etc....etc.. all for $100 but I take the car to them 2 or 3 times a year...and when it comes out it's the "cats meow" it looks great... they do the wheels fantastic, and polish the quad tips on my exhaust...I love driving out of there with my car looking BETTER than when I picked it up when I bought it....

Oh, I get it - someone told you you're driving a cultural icon that is only deserving of the true reverence that comes from slavish, personal hands-on attention.
Meh - fek it. I have better things to do.... Like take a nap.
