What would have been a better response without spending 10 minutes explaining?
And I would have said in comparison to what?

Ive had people ask me what does Grandsport mean a couple of times. Not everyone knows every model corvette, some people think only coupe or vert.

I would have said,"the same as a ZO6,but without the motor and aluminum frame". We have long lights here in PHX and would have said with coupe and 6-sp,has the dry sump, battery in trunk,rear-end diff.cooler, oil cooler, forged crank.

Yep. The GS is the best "base" Corvette you can buy now since they discontinued the Z51 option. It even includes a bunch of the Z51 parts even though it has higher air resistance.

Docile? Perhaps last night was Thirsty Thursday for many people and they dont have the capacity to get in to it right now.

Local dealership sold one of the three GS's they had. All white with gray stripes and chrome wheels. Sexy....sexy cars.

I think all Corvettes look fast and I imagine the 'average' person thinks the same. Besides, most people can't tell the difference between Corvette models anyway (at least initially). Stick to the most basic thing and keep it simple.....'The Grand Sport has the wider body like the Z06.'
