Forgive me gentlemen, I started this thread to find out if anyone has noticed a color variation in the 427 blue interior, I said 427 b/c I am buying one. Color choices are personal and as someone said "to each their own". Sooooo if anyone knows that the possibility exists there is a different shade of color on the blue interior let me know, or maybe I just need to have them put it outside in the light, either way I'm buying it with the hope it is a little lighter than it appears in the showroom! Hope to be driving it very soon...

I've seen several 60th with blue interiors, no color variations.

The blue is a fairly dark shade of blue, not quite a dark Navy blue. It looks darker inside a coupe or if the convertible top is up. It would be my best guess that the pics that you might see when it looks lighter are the result of the color being 'washed out' by the flash of the camera that is taking the pic.

For the record, I think it is a very good looking interior. Dark blue and white is a classic color combo and very rarely has it ever been available on the vette. To the best of my recollection it was last available many years ago in a few model years of both the C2 and C3 generations.

I posted a nice shot of the interior of my post yesterday "just took delivery of a 427", as hoped it is much lighter outdoors than when it was in the showroom, frankly it is a perfect shade of blue and you're right 3Gen it is classic with the white body. What is really gorgeous about this car is the way the wheels, carbon package and stripes tie in so perfectly. I couldn't be happier with it, thanks for the help!
