Default Need help with a window problem

I have a '11 GS convertable. Any time I pull in a driveway or anything else that makes the body flex there is a creak/squeak in the drivers door that seems to be in the rear part of the window. When I lower the window it goes away. I have tried re-indexing the window and putting dielectric grease on the weatherstripping. Nothing works. Before I break down and take it to the dealer does anyone have an idea?

I have a similar problem in a '12 GS coupe. With the great GM Q.C., the rear of the driver's window goes up too far after indexing, and hits the roof rail. Actually the rear 2 screws. Installed a single-sided foam strip, and worked for a while until the movement separated the foam from the adhesive. Grinded one of the screws down, and thought it was fixed, but it was not. Will do the same to the rearmost screw. If that fails, will stick foam at the very end, where there's a round piece of hard foam to force the window to the outside of the weatherstripping. If not, will keep doing what I do now, which is touch the window switch for a nanosecond, and that lowers it enough to stop the squeaking. Look into that.

I'm not going to gut the door just for that, but if it bothers me enough in the future, I might. But definitely not a dealer . Good luck.

none other than you will have to take the door panel off, and adjust the rear side of the glass so it is going up the same height as the front.

Why wouldn't you just have the widnow adusted properly under your warranty? Or, barring that, just remove the door panel. It is not at all difficult, simply remove two allen screws and pull the panel off (once the allen screws are removed, it is held in place with 8 friction retainers around the perimeter of the panel) and adjust the mechanism yourself.
