Put a rubber O-ring on the 2 front pins that already have a big one on it already. Just add a smaller one to it and the noise will be gone.

You may want to edit your original post in which you asked "how to stop the crack from the roof." There's a big difference between a creak and a crack.

IMO a routine maintenance lube is necessary to prevent a noisy top. Lots more info from another thread:
