2012 Engine Bay ?
Too much Samuel Smith's already today! And, oh by the way...Go 'Noles!
I have just purchased a 2012 GS and my engine covers are concerning as all the ones I have seen to date are a little different than what I have. I have the six speed with dry sump and most of the covers I have seen do not have an area where the oil filler cap would go on the cover. Mine does but is blanked out underneath...is that normal for the 2012?
Don't remove it! On the dry sump cars there is no oil filler cap on the engine itself, and no dip stick. The oil is both checked and added on the oil tank beside the engine. The dipstick is on the top, the filler cap right beside it, read the manual for the correct procedure for checking/adding oil, and remember when changing the oil on a dry sump car, get the correct oil filter and be sure to remove and drain both plugs.
