For all the peeps who been before, do you have to registered for the event to be able to park with all the other vettes for the Bash. I am assuming if you don't register and pay, you're kick off to parking in the back lot
They never asked last year if you were registered when parking. As long as you had a Corvette, you could park in the lot.
I am trying to schedule some time off and the attend the event with my GF. I probably will be staying at the Marriott Courtyard. I will be in my 2012 CE ZR1. The ZR1 was a museum delivery car and really wants to return home for the first time.
My avatar photo was taken when I was at the museum in 1996 in my 435hp 1967 roadster.

The wife and I are staying at the same hotel, this should be a blast
I still have not formulated a real idea of what activities to do at the bash, however I do want to go up there. Just a day at the national museum with a bunch of fellow enthusiasts would be a super experience.
Sitting in lectures about the C7 design is listed on the website event schedule, but I am not sure that is really appealing to me; ... I could be wrong. A big parking lot tailgate scene could be good, but i tailgate often and it takes my Suburban fully loaded to get the gear to a site to pull that off.
The Tail of the Dragon is a drive I would sure like to do. This quoted post suggests there is something to sign up for to do that. I have studied on the Bash events calendar, and not found that. Any input from the repeat attendees?
Thanks for any ideas, comments. I really want to go, and I did make a room resvn a while back.
Are there any cruises involved in the Bash? I don't see anything on the itinerary. I would like to get out and drive instead of sitting in a folding chair all weekend.

Yes, there's are free guided road tours (cruises) on Wednesday at 2:30-4:30, Thursday at 2:45-4:45, Saturday at 10:00am to 12:00,
and a few people usually have cruises of their own.
There will be plenty to do. See you there,
David

Spoil sport ...................... I was gonna tell him the car would be sold for salvage ..............
I got my hotel room reserved (Marriott Courtyard) and am excited about my first Corvette event of the new year!
But, am I the only one that is actually thinking about waiting to register for the event with the NCM until one can get a 10 day advance weather forecast for those days? I mean 'April showers' is more than just a cliche'. I am a bit reluctant to make a monetary commitment for an April event and we get a record breaking monsoon over those days.

I'm waiting until just before the online registration is cut off. I can always cancel my motel reservation.
I'm not really too worried about the $15 registration fee. Besides, if someone registers and then is unable to attend, the folks at the museum are great about sending the stuff (lanyard, name badge, event pin, t-shirt if ordered) in the mail so you'd still have them as mementos.
