Roc - just a thought. As you have heard numerous comments on this issue, I'm just wondering if someone can contact our Corvette friends at GM to see if they can at least bring a set of each of the new seats that can be set up to sit in. Hopefully they will understand that the group attending the Bash are pretty loyal and important customers.
Just a thought.
I just realized that Roc Linkov didn't actually post within this thread, so I'm hoping that someone with close ties to the museum or GM can get this word out. Sorry .... I'm not that connected!
No list started yet... I was going to try and arrange something Thursday or Friday afternoon at the museum. Since I wont be making it, someone else needs to take over that task.....
I do have reservations made for 75 at the Montana Thursday at 6:00 pm.
75!! Holy crap, I've not been on the forum muc lately, I guess I missed this. Wow, guess we won't be using the back room like normal huh.
Yeah, no kidding. It was hard enough to socialize with all the discreet little tables in the backroom. People seem to sit with their buddies, understandable, but it's not condusive to meeting other forum members. It would be cool to set up a time and place at the Bash to meet where you could actually learn some new names and put more faces with the avatars we know so well.
Would it be better to visit in June for the 60th or the bash?
Seems like the 60th event would be better... I can only do one and considering the cost I would like to do the best of the two.
I'm looking to make it this year as well. Came in my Escalade last year, but think I'll drive my supercharged C5Z this year. The C7 situation has me more than aggravated but...I am on plan to still attend.
Wish more young guys would attend these events....lol. Bringing a friend this year though. Was surprised how stand-offish some people were last year...acting high and mighty or something...haha. I bought a lot of stuff at the auction that fills my office though...makes me happy. Hopin to grab something good this year as well.
Where's this reservation...what's happenin...strippers involved!?!?

At this point I'd call it a toss-up. There'll definitely be more C7s at the June event but it sounds like there'll be more forum members at the bash.

I'm 47... is that still considered an old guy?
only an hour away... gonna try and make both events... but may be at the Corvette AUTO CROSS at Nashville Fairgrounds raceway for the June event. (it is on the event schedule)
NashvilleCorvetteClub had one this weekend there and although I didn't drive in it the Mrs. got to ride along with one of the lady drivers.... she may enter and drive in the STOCK CLASS in June , (if she ever finds where she left her stomach on the track)
Was lurking on the Museum's site last Friday, and discovered it was the last day to pre-register.
Considered for a moment, and I'm in. May be back for one of the later events also, dunno, we'll see...
75 is just a guesstimate
David, would you like to confirm the reservations and try to firm up numbers? The reservations should be under "Corvette forum group"
I'll give them a call today. Gonna miss seeing you and Linda.

Travelling on to Tunica and Memphis after the bash. Wife wants info on an awesome; real BBQ joint and one we can park the vette safely. Any suggestions?

Rendevous in Memphis is downtown. You have to park in a parking garage and walk around the corner to Rendevous (it's kinda in an alley, downstairs).
If you've never had dry ribs, they're worth a try.
Of course, there another good BBQ place just inside the loop on Poplar. on the south side of the road, but I can't remember the name.

Thanks for info on Memphis BBQ. Was at Millington in '66 for Avionics training. But didn't make it into the city. Spent nights getting ready for morning inspections. SEMPER FI
