And yes, I've got the Window Sticker (Monroney Label) and there is no mention of this part.
After sending an inquiry to the salesman that we purchased the car from it turns out that the carbon splitter was an additional factory option.
If you go to NewGMParts.com then drill down to http://www.newgmparts.com/auto-parts...nts-front-scat

part #20 19256909 VALANCE PANEL Z06, ZR1, 427 & GRAND SPORT $1,163.33
Unless your 427 came with the optional CFZ Carbon Fiber package, you're missing this:
VALANCE PANEL - GM (15834249)
also part #20 from that same website - $214.56.

Just got my Blacksrone oil analysis back, no issues noted at 6300 miles. A little high on silicon and iron, no issues on cobalt or titanium, they feel high values on the two are break-in. Will do again this fall. Car starts right up, no oil consumption, pulls great.

Great news man, thanks for the update. A friend of mine just had the 427 replaced in his 2013 with 5720 miles on the odo, the bearings on numbers 1 and 2 rods were spun. The drained oil looked like orange metal flake paint. The side of the rod caps appeared as though someone had held them against a grinder stone. He is not a forum member but his vin number is about 50 after yours.

Jeez...sad news. Could it be almost random, with bearings, valves, etc?

Thanks, will get it done again in the fall.

If you wouldn't mind doing the measurements and then a pic of a close up of your emblem and hood, that would be greatly appreciated.
Hope these help you out.

Black above tape measure is the hood stripe.

Start of tape is at the center of the hood. In both pics the hood ends next to windshield on the right.

Default Anyone know what RPO Code I-13 Engineering Model is?

Hey fellows nearly done with my '66 restoration looking to get something little more daily friendly. Found a clean 2013 427 Convertible but can't seem to find any information on the code I-13. If anyone has any knowledge it would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks,
Vette

Getting the itch to sell the GS and looking at C6 Z06's and 427 Verts ( the Vert mostly because of the almost perfect weather in Ventura everyday) and not remotely interested in a C7 due to the looks but my question is...

At highway speeds or any other speed, does the middle of the Rag Top tend to pull upward and appear round or does it maintain the same look as if it were parked?

I have had GM rag tops before and going down the road it appears the top is bowing upward.

Thanks

No clue. I'm too busy driving to look up and check the roof.

It's really not that difficult.....

I should have clarified, anyone seen one going down the road with a bowed rag top or heard of this Phenomenon?

C6 Vert tops are fitted very tight to the frame, at least from the factory. I too have seen the configuration that you're speaking of, but not on a C6! You might be better served to road test with a friend following you.

Interior road noise might be more of a challenge to check out. Best of luck!

I think that was a problem with older models...I had a 2004 Vert and now the 427 Vert and have never seen any bowing.
