The top ten reasons to buy a new C6 now!
If you already own a C6, by all means get in line and be among the first to take home a new C7, but if you're wanting a new car right now and waffling on waiting for a C7, here are some points to consider:
10. Let GM perfect the product. Not to say that the C7 will have more problems than any other car, but new models always get refinements after the first year or two.
9. Gorgeous car now vs. ? I know the C7 will be awesome and many of us will love it, but the C6 is so good that it's going to be pretty hard for the looks of the C7 to beat the C6.
8. All eight cylinders all the time. What's that new engine going to sound like - especially if you're considering an after-market exhaust?
7. No waiting for mods. The after-market for a new model will take some time to develop.
6. High-tier models [427 & Z's] available now. There's no word on when [or if] these will be offered on the C7.
5. Last chance for now to get a dry sump engine hand assembled in Wixom.
4. Classic dash! In a C6 you are looking at real instruments - a tach with a needle! We had the video game dash in the C4. Most didn't like it!
3. Huge discounts now on C6 vs. sticker price on C7. If cost is any concern, NOW is the time for the deal of a lifetime.
2. Life is short! Start your "miles of smiles" ASAP!
AND - the number one reason to buy a new C6 now:
1. Round tail-lights!

Are they going back to digital readout instruments on the C7? Dissappointing if so. I agree none of that **** will ever hold a candle to a real needle on a tach.
$12k off sticker on the latest-edits/most perfected version of the car that will ever be built... whats not to love?
I've also had a few things happen to people around me recently that has really driven home that life IS short, and not one of us has any clue how many days we have left. It had been too many years since my last funcar, so I'd by lieing if I said that wasn't a small factor for me as well.

I don't subscribe to the 'wait until the second year' theory when considering buying a new model but I agree there are many reasons to buy a C6 now (as opposed to waiting for the C7). It's an excellent list overall but a couple thoughts come-to-mind.....
"....new models always get refinements after the first year or two."
Manufacturer's refine and improve their models every year.
"....What's that new engine going to sound like"
I think that's a given....all factory stock Corvettes sound weak.

If you're considering a new C6 at this point, I would gamble and wait until early next year. Once the C7 is officially released, it might significantly slow C6 sales if it's a big hit (leading to BIG C6 rebates!?!).
On the other hand, if the C7 turns out to be controversial, it may cause a run on C6s, which blows my theory.

It would appear so based on the second teaser video.
