What types of mods are you considering? And, will the mods be cosmetic or performance, or both? I have done many of both, but have spent a lot of $$$$$$.
I will say that I have been modding mine for almost 8 years, so the costs have been spread out.
You'll find some CF members who believe it should be left stock and some who think "tasteful" mods are ok, and some who do whatever they like and can afford. Nothing says you have to do it all at once. I think it's like having a new different car every time that I add something to it. Some of my older mods have been replaced, with the older mods being added to my wife's '07.
Popular mods include intakes, exhausts, engine dress up pieces, rear spoilers, and wheels.
most likely only small cosmetic mods. Seat Covers and Floor mats are my first updates, and in a few years a different exhaust. I don't even want to being messing with the engine.
Lots of great advice here as you can see. I personally agree with CO lightfoot totally. Drive it a while , do your homework here and then decide what type of mods interest or excite you- performance, looks, whatever. Also realize if you trade cars often money spent on mods is seldom returned in resale. Welcome to the forum...

Congrats on the new Vette.
Be sure and use the 'search' button that's in the red area at the top of this page. It will have most of the stuff you need.....already discussed in the last 8 years. Someone might tear your arsh up if you don't....unless you are a 'big ole boy'.
I just bought my first Corvette Christmas weekend and have fallen in love with it. It's a new to me 2007 MN6 Coupe with a magnaflow catback exhaust, and is a blast to drive. I can see now why all of you are so crazy about Corvette!
My question is, do you Corvetterans have any tips or advice for a first time owner, and are there any good relatively inexpensive mods you would reccomend.
Thanks!
Zack

My advice. Sell the car to me very cheaply. The car is a money drain. It only attracts very old ladies. Gas mileage is terrible. The car is bad for the economy and the environment. The car just plain looks bad, especially black. Mods, mods, mods? Are you kidding me? We're not thinking about mods. Nothing can help this car. The car is haunted.

If we are using forum pricing guidelines you can take this burden off of me for 35K
I've got an '09 on which I've done over sixty "tasteful" mods at a cost of about $10,000.00 (it's easy to lose track). Beware, it's addictive. My thought process: (1) the car already has more power and handling capabilities than I, or 98% of most owners will ever need or use, (2) the base car is already super sexy, although it lacks refinement inside and out, (3) the car has shortcomings as it comes from the factory which can be overcome rather easily, (4) the basic attribute which recommends the Corvette over other competing sports cars is "bang for the buck", or value, so any modifications you do to the car should meet these same criteria. So my advise is to first address those things which bug you the most, be it excessive brake dust on the wheels; missing letters on the dash, or rear bumper; a missing grill; a really cheap interior; excessive road noise and ride roughness, etc. Good luck, you've got a beauty there, and with a manual transmission and non-chromed wheels, it is a real, honest to goodness sports car.
Nice ride,I was shopping for black but a blue one does the trick for me too.
Picked mine up new years eve, I attributed it to holiday vette fever.
These guys are a good bunch, very helpful and lots of great vendors too...as mentioned before, the search button is your closest ally because the C6 has been out for awhile,so most everything has been covered.
Good luck resisting mods,I can't wait to get started on mine!
