What do you think of Enterprise Financial Group (EFG) Car Warranty Plan
What do you think of Enterprise Financial Group (EFG) Car Warranty Plan? They are out of Irving, TX.
They offered the following over the phone since I did not respond to their mailed offers:
Plan years: 5yr
Miles: 100,000 mile add on to current mileage. (my current 70K + 100K = 170K)
Deductible: $50/yr
Premium per year: $711.20/Yr (which equals $3,556 for 5 years.)
What do you think? Has anybody heard of them and experience with them? Your comments are appreciated, thanks in advance!
Yes, I have talked to Dennis. GMPP rates were $523 higher for: $50 ded., for only 36mo/30K mileage or $1,188/yr. This was the best he could do last year.
Read what they don't cover. GMPP has a very short list of things they don't cover. Devil is in the details. There are some plans that don't cover piston rings since they are a so called wear item. GMPP does cover piston rings. Do you have to pay the shop and then get reimbursed by the plan provider or do they pay the shop? Will shops trust them?
By the way the BBB shows they have had 103 complaints in the last 3 years and 51 complaints in the last year. All dealing with delivery of product or warranty. http://www.bbb.org/dallas/business-r...255/complaints

To me, the two biggest questions are what's not included, and who will accept it? If it were me, I'd call a few known repair shops that you might use and see if they know of, had work claims, etc. The reputation of an insurer is not only with the insured (you), but with the other party that has to get paid (the repair shop).

that ought to quickly get to the heart of the matter...
If you looking for good coverage go to National Repair Solutions . EFG is just one administrator that offers coverage. National Repair Solutions offers for 4 different administrator because we are a broker. So we can find the best coverage with the lowest price!

Exactly! "Third party warranty" providers are more often noted for "what they don't cover" and working real hard ( as in taking their sweet ole time to review the requested work before approving ) to deny coverage claims. Now, not all fall into that pattern...but follow the above advice and you may find an "agreeable" provider.!
EFG pays 89.7 % of all claims within 60 minutes of claim being made via corporate credit card (minus your plan deductible), has an A+ rating with the BBB, has resolved all complaints, and is accepted at any ASE certified repair facility in the US and Canada. NO VSC administrator goes without complaint. EFG is one of the best. Their claim approval rate is better than all the rest combined. Hope this helps
As an independent shop owner, I have dealt with this very issue many times. My opinion is that most often the consumer would be better off not buying the extended warranty, setting the funds aside in a personal repair account to be used as needed. 1 in 15 or so consumers make out ok, most do not. Statistical analysis of the extended warranty programs available proves this to be true, the parties involved wont sell a money losing product.
