Curious how you picked the parts for sale/wanted section as a good spot for your post. Not sure what this post even means. Good luck

Well, it's showing up in C6 General now...

OP might have some kind of sensor or computer problem, but I'd wait a bit to see what conditions make it come on again.

Also, it takes a while for the outside temp gauge to update if the temp has increased; details are hidden in the Mystery Book (Owner Manual). If you take only very short trips, it might NEVER update for higher temps. There is a way to force an immediate update; I can do it but can't explain it. (embarassed).

But in answering the OP's question: Maybe your garage was cool or damp and the computer picked up on it. Just keep an eye on it and see what happens.

did you try pressing the three combo to get the computer to update the temp - that would have determined if your sensor is bad

Check your Outside temp sensor located in the right front by the radiator shroud. You either have a bad sensor or it's unpluged. You can also do as mentioned above about resetting the temp first and then .....

That is how mine started acting up, 85 degree day and showed ice possible, next day it showed 75 degrees where it stayed. For me the HVAC control module was bad.

Try HVAC reset like mentioned above, check sensor (use ohm meter) or try R&R HVAC fuse.
