Only one thing to add...if you use the key to open the trunk, it will sound the horn if the car is locked, it will be silent if the car is unlocked. Obviously if the key is being used because of a dead battery, then the horn will have no power to sound.

Thanks Chris. A small price to pay , to save the embarrassment of a call to the wife to bring the spare FOB down to the golf course.
