Default RE: Carbon Diffusers - any real difference?

I've decided I'd love to have a carbon fiber diffuser. Is there really a $1000 difference between APR and what I see on CorvetteMods.com?

Any opinions welcomed.

they have both on Corvettemods.
They have the stock style in carbon fiber then the APR one. The APR is more aggressive looking, and goes further up under the car to the rear axel to smooth out airflow under the car.
It all depends on what you are wanting out of your diffuser.
I have the APR one on mine

I want it mostly for cosmetic looks.

The APR does not use your stock reverse lights, you will get some LED's to put above rear tag.
The carbon fiber stock one re uses your existing reverse lights and has the OEM look but in carbon fiber.
The APR like I said is more agressive looking, but does cost a lot more.

I went with the c7 carbon one since it was priced best and is mostly under the car. I am very happy with it. install was easy especially with a lift. Fitment was excellent almost close to oem. If you order be prepared to wait a few weeks.

I have the same one on my ZR1 (different vendor same supplier?), really nice, not overly "look at me", but a nice touch. My wifes vette has a C/F "overlay" from West Coast Corvettes. It is ok, really amazed at how well it sticks, 3 years and still stuck on just like it is bolted.

These are 100% cosmetic. Diffuser depends on clean airflow from beneath the car. This is not available on the Corvette.

It works out in the end though because cars that have a functional diffuser generally don't have the things found on Corvettes like 1+ G cornering ability, awesome brakes and a motor with horsepower AND torque

Great price.
Trying to stay away from C7 as I don't want to wait months.
