Does anybody know anything about the wiring on the safety when your vehicle came with the
GM wind restrictor? I am trying to remove the old posts but there is a wire that prevents one from putting the roof up and forgetting to remove the windrestrictor.

I ordered a GM windscreen with my 427 on the recommendation of the dealer. I opened the box and read the installation instructions and, decided it wasn't for me... I didn't want to cut the carpet and tackle the installation myself. Additionally, I didn't like the looks of the GM windscreen... thought it looked cheap. I returned windscreen to dealer, paid shipping fee and small re-stocking fee and received a refund check from dealer.

I took the windscreen out of my 2011 vert to put in my 427. The wire needs to be disconnected on the passenger's side under the carpet in the trunk...

I had the dealer do the original install and will have them re-install it in the 427 during the first service.
