2013 427 Convertible Windscreen
Does anyone have the GM convertible windscreen installed? If so how do you like it? I assume the top can go up and down and the windscreen does not get in the way?
It came with car and I had to pay for it but it is not installed. Thanks for any and all help.

"In honor of jpee"
to my recollection of others' comments, it isn't an easy removal. but having to remove it at all is a pain imo. others may chime in and say if it is easy to remove or not. why not call the service dept. of a chev dealer?

You have to install 2 brackets and a top interlock. It then slides on and off quite easily however the top will not go up until it is taken off. I think that it functions quite well.

Thanks for the info guys - still not sure. May ask dealer not to install it. Wonder if I could get credit for something else?
How does it look with just the brackets? Anyone have any pictures?

I ordered a GM windscreen with my 427 on the recommendation of the dealer. I opened the box and read the installation instructions and, decided it wasn't for me... I didn't want to cut the carpet and tackle the installation myself. Additionally, I didn't like the looks of the GM windscreen... thought it looked cheap. I returned windscreen to dealer, paid shipping fee and small re-stocking fee and received a refund check from dealer.

Well we are clearly mized in our views. Unless I can find soneone that has it installed I guess I will keep mine in the box as well. Anyone interested in a new GM windscreen?

The girlfriend has shoulder length hair. This screen allows us to run around town without the hat or pony tail. Happy wife, happy life. Rain, 5 seconds and it's in the trunk, 15 more seconds and the tops up. (the CAR's top )
I think it looks better than the clear versions with lights. JMHO.

absolutely easy. 5-10 seconds each way. As said above, I really like mine. When I have it installed (by dealer, i'm not going to cut my carpet) I'll take pics, but I know they already exist somewhere on the net.

I hate to ask a complete stranger for pictures, but.................. I would love to see pictures of it with screen in and how it looks with just the brackets.
Thanks in advance.
