Ever seen a Ferrari with chrome wheels? While the Wide bodied Vettes look good with painted Calipers, The Coupe and Convertible calipers are so ugly they don't look much better painted; kind of like putting lipstick on a pig. Cover them and be done with them. The covers do keep the dust down and look fine when properly installed.
so then, with the covers on, where Does the dust go ? -- caked up inside the cover and the brake mechanism?
I have heard that they do keep the brake dust down.
And a lot of unncessary heat stays in the calipers. Rotors are already prone to warpage from the different cooling rates from the exposed portion of the rotor vs. the portion under the calipers at shut down. Why make it worse?
AFTER POWDER COATING OR PAINTING WHERE DO YOU GET NEW CORVETTE DECALS DOR THEM I HAVE SILVER NOW THINKING ABOUT PAINTING BLACK 2011 GR
AND SPORT sorry caps on
anybody want to throw out a price to get powder coated?? And you have to remove calipers. And i take it bleed system out after reinstalling calipers?? I just dont get it why people get their rocks off bad mouthing others cars on here. I have seen so many things done to owners cars on here that I wouldn't do to my car in a million years. After all we are all proud owners of a Corvette. Some have boat loads of money to throw into their cars. And some struggle to put new tires on.

he asked for opinions..., to me...if you wanna do it..then just do it..
I bought them, the fronts scraped on the stock rims so I took them off. I went to Carlisle and talk to the vendor about the problem he said to go to Home Depot and buy some paint to cover the scraps? Not worth the effort.
The problem with caliper covers is that they look like caliper covers. For the same amount of money you'd be better off having your calipers powder coated. They'll look much better.

Its your car. People on here say they are stupid looking. Funny I received many compliments on them. Sort of like all the other things people do to their Corvettes. Colored wheels. ground effects, spoilers, exhaust plates, deck interior out, colored dash consoles, seats, tint windows, underhood chrome, billet grilles, list goes on and on. Bottom line its your car. who gives a rats *** who says anything about it. I have had no one say anything bad about them to me. Someones gonna think less of my Corvette cause of the Calipers.
