Something else to think about, I have never used jacking pucks and have jacked my 08 dozens of times. If you are careful placing the jack you will not have any problem, the issues most people have is when they take their car to some tire shop or mech that does not know how to jack a corvette. So if you are going to have folks work on your car that don't know corvettes take your pucks with you and make sure they use them, but IMO you will discover that you won't need them in your own shop.

I commented in that thread back in 06; I got them in early 05 have remained installed 24/7 ever since.

They pretty much go in all the way. The eye begins to bend right at the surface of the puck. Make one, leave it a little loose, try it, tighten until you like it. Even if it is in too far the rubber will deform a little as you insert it in the slot making an even better fit.
