I'm looking at the jacking pucks on corvettemods, and I'm wondering which ones to get. I don't want the plastic, leave in ones, I'm looking at the metal ones. One says that it replaces the jack's lift cradle, the other ones just fit into the jacking point and secure with a twist. I'm not even sure if the lift cradle is removable on my jack, so I'm leaning towards the other ones, but if anyone could give me some advice, I'd appreciate it.

Save you money for worth while mods to the car. Make your own out of hockey pucks. Free pucks from you local practice rink and $3.50 worth of eye screws from Home Depot.

Metal to metal is more likely to slip than metal to rubber. With twist in or permanent mount it is almost impossible to scratch anything compared to something mounted on the jack being slid under the car.
I am very happy with my twist in rubber hockey pucks. Check The-Auction-Site-That-Shall-Not-Be-Mentioned.

I seldom use jacking pucks when lifting one corner/side of the car but when I do use jacking pucks I use the rectangular, beveled, hard plastic, BMW jacking pucks. They snap and 'lock' in-place but they're for temporary use only. I would never leave jacking pucks installed 24/7. I like the rectangular, beveled, BMW pucks because they 'lock' in-place and the beveled contour fits the cradle of my jack stands better than a flat, round puck. The car seems more secure when sitting on jack stands.
(I know I saved which specific BMW pucks I use but I can't find it at the moment).
Better use an eye screw to secure the puck. I have personal knowledge of a non-secure puck slipping off the frame rail and severely cracking the front fender. this is a $1,000 fix if a shop does it. Don't take the chance.
