Picked my '05 up last year w/52K 6 speed only issue was the gas cap warning I replaced it and fine ever since. You got a bit more milage than me the C6 is a pretty hearty car. I would checkout the basics first clutch, tires, brakes, see if the previous owner did the normal oil changes and check out Car Fax history for sure. Good Luck

Safety Car
So if this is your only car & a daily driver, honestly, there are plenty of better choices I'd look at.
But you might have another use in mind -- garage queen, weekend toy, local cruiser, track *****, etc.
Anyway, do your research before you buy. Here's a start:

Burning Brakes
My 05 has 60k. I got mine about 6,000 miles ago. Other than cosmetics I have spent less than $1,000 on repairs. But they were things I knew I would have to do before I purchased it. I took it to a authorized Vette dealer and paid them to go throught it before I bought it.

Melting Slicks
I bought my 2007 Base ( about the same car) with 64K miles and it was somewhat neglected in the maintance department.
The out side was perfect.
After now seven weeks of ownership, I am very happy with the car.
Just plan to sink some money into the car should you find any issues.
If you DIY the cost is considerably affordable.
Other than the Harmonic Balancer, my car just needed wear items.
These were all things which I do to every car I buy.
I always buy used cars for the money savings.
Then I always replace all belts, fluids and brakes.
My Vette needed Tie Rod ends probably at 50K miles, so this might be something you should look at.
When that rubber boot is dry rotted and you can check the grease inside by looking through the boot, it is time to replace.
I plan on driving mine up to 200K.
I have already put 4,000 miles on it since Mid-January.
For any of you doing the math that is $2K in IRS milage reimbursment.
I love having a Vette for my work car!

Traded my 2005 coupe for my 2006 Z06 in Nov 2011 with 76k on it. No troubles with the car. Absolutely loved the car, sometimes, I wish I had it back. Just check out the car before you buy.

That is one thread and I remember seeing another recently that had something to do with 200,000 mile club but for the life of me I cannot find it.
I'm fully expecting my 2006 to make it to no less than 250,000!!!!

BS on your Toyota and Honda statement! Any modern American car is as good as those and not over priced. As for high mileage '05. Mine has 96k and it runs good and is tight as new. Depends on how the previous owner took care of it and used it.

Funny toyota came up, I currently drive 2004 tundra which has about 150K miles and I never had any problems. ZERO
It has 6 inch lift and 35" trail grapplers and still no problems.
If I get a vette, I hope it doesn't have too many problems

That 5.4 Ford engine is stressed to max. Because of high compression to haul a big Expedition around the compression ratio is 11:1. They are famous for launching spark plugs and stripping the threads in the aluminum heads. Usually need new head. F150 Lightning has a 5.4 engine too.

Bought a 05 A4 with 69000 miles in June of 2011, it now has 126000 miles. Had to have transmission rebuilt at 111000 but that's my fault. Spun it 540 degree spin at drag strip. Autos don't like to go backwards at 60mph while still in drive. Had to put alternator at 114000 miles. I installed Rims, Headers, Cai and have gone through 2 set of front tires and am on my 4th set of rears. Had a o2 sensor go bad, just reused one from the rear ones I took off when I installed the long tube headers. As far as I am concerned very reliable, and I drive it like its stolen, every day.

95,000 miles would be way too much for my comfort level. That said my modified 2005 has taken 6+ years of constant, hard track use with very few repairs being needed. Considering what I do with my 2005 it's been remarkably trouble-free and reliable. Good luck whatever you decide to do.

OP: The C6 Corvette is a great car, my 07 has almost 150,000 miles on it. As with any car, things are going to break, just try to plan ahead. I would recommend you have that car inspected by a good mech before you decide to purchase it. Good luck & welcome to the forum!
