I didn't wax under the hood for goodness sake, but spring has sprung here in Virginia and first thing I had to do this morning was a wash and quick detail.
Still waiting for spring here in CT. I gave the car a good cleaning over the winter and a coat of speed wax....I'll work on it more as weather permits...it looks pretty good, but, the inside of the rims need work. Damn, those OEM pads sure make a lot of dust!

You're right, you shouldn't be We had mixed precip here last week and two days later all three of my cars were encased in salt splatter. Around these parts, the gubbermint contracts for X cubic yards of salt per annum, and any last minute chance the vendor has of dumping truck loads on our streets, they take it. At least all you had to deal with "maybe" was some water spotting Be happy. Us Haole's have it a lot worse.

I go across the street to "Dunkin Donuts" (Yup I'm a retired LEO) get my coffee, & a few donuts, read the paper, and my car is ready in about 2-3 hrs (They have 3 people working on it.
1 or 2 do the waxing, and 1 does the interior, wheels, leather, glass etc..etc..
I pick it up looking like new & my 70 year old body still feels good ..
Twice a year? Mine gets done FAR too often. NEVER less than once a month. My car is definitely cleaner than my house.
