The limey version is better than the U.S. show with two nitwits and a drifter .
While they bash the vette , they end up enjoying its power and price . The other
Competitors costing 2 - 3 times the GM plastic car's price .

The ZR1 moves way up in the ranking if 2 seconds is subtract to adjust for the track conditions.
Funny they bash Porsche for being too confy then they bashed the Z06 for being to stiff. Although they did give it props for power and price.

Keep in mind Jeremy Clarkson named the ZR1 performance car of the year when it came out. He also preferred it over an R8.

I think they all begrudgingly admire the C6 Corvette. Sure they rip on certain aspects such as cheap plastics (agree) and poor seats (disagree). Clarkson waffles back and forth more than a politician. One episode he lauds the great stereo in the ZR1 then in another episode he calls it "rubbish" I think his mood on a particular day sometimes interfers with his perspective on what he is supposed to be reviewing. Can't wait to see their review on the new C7. I'm certain it will be a mix of love/hate all over again.

All I remember Jeremy doing with a Vette , is pushing on the plastic between the tail lights making a cheap remark or starting from a dead stop slipping the clutch in 5th gear to 160 ish ? MPH .

I've watched the american version once, once. They had a tractor contest and rated new police cruisers for resistance to tear gas. Ridiculous.

A lot of the cars the U.K. Top Gear rates cost more like five to seven times our plastic cars' price. I'm a little tired of my injection molded dashboard to be honest. I've owned some exotics. I miss the fine leather and don't want to to waste that kinda dough on a vette interior.

The UK Top Gear appears to be more about entertainment (or their concept of it) than most anything else. I enjoy the show and like to watch the Stig run the track.

i think mood and showman ship has a lot to do with it. i remember one episode where they ragged on the 350z about having no storage space and no rear visibility along with a motor that sounded like chewbacca

then, like a year later the 350z was one of the top contenders in a 3 car shootout and they loved it

EVERYBODY is jealous of the US and our cars. It's lonely at the Top. I like it when people talk trash about Corvetts, I then ask what color is your vette and it get very quiet.
I watch the show sometimes but really not inpressed.
