I also love both! Some days I will actually look at both for a few before deciding...

I love bikes also. Many years ago I had the big one and now I walk with a limp and pain with every step. No more bikes for me.

It doesn't matter how experienced the rider it's the one on 4 wheels that take you out!

I've been riding for 40 years but my Corvette, which I've had for two, is so much fun I'm thinking about selling my bike. I actually sold one last month. Today was warm and sunny. I took the top off the coupe and went for a drive. Nuff said.

For me there’s no comparison, and each has it’s place. The sensations experienced on a bike aren’t anything a car can duplicate, but there are times when I’d gladly switch out the bike for a car (like when the weatherman says it will be sunny all day and I find myself riding in a monsoon). That being said it’s getting a lot more dangerous on 2 wheels out there, just too many distractions for motorists. I remember reading a bike racing rag where one of the racers was asked what he rides on the street – he said he gave up street riding a long time ago – just too dangerous!

Thats true, I've been 8.06 @ 163 on a $10k dragbike. Can't get anywhere near that with a car.

I would take riding over driving any day of the week but health problems won't let me ride anymore.

I had the Hayabusa out today. Nice ride on some tree lined two lanes in the hills north of Santa Cruz. Stopped in at Alice's Restaurant. Saw a couple Cobras, Ferraris and even a GT40 replica.

Two motor toys in the garage...A 2002 Ultra Classic and of course the 2011 GS...It's a toss up on which one I enjoy the most...both have their places in my need for getting away from it all!

I could not imagine comparing a Vette to a Harley other than they both are made in Mexico.

Owning a Harley is not like riding a motorcycle.
Most places the speed limit is 55mph... I rarely see Harley's getting up to 45mph.
Then there are the skills needed to drink beer and navigate.

Been riding motorcycles since 1966 and driving Corvettes since 1985. Never considered comparing the two because they are entirely different experiences. A motorcycle is straight line fast and slow in turns and the Corvette is faster in turns and slower off the line. A motorcycle is bugs in your teeth and a Corvette the top off with A/C running on a hot summer day. A Corvette is a bad day if you go off the road and hit a tree. A motorcycle is a REAL bad day if you hit a tree. I have a few scars to show from motorcycles and not one from a Corvette.

I gave up my Harley several years ago. Got out of it while I was still in one piece, was starting to get too confident and careless at the same time. Not a good thing.
Many of my friends still ride and I understand their passion, nothing like it.

Default Harley VS Vette

I can tell you this as being a motorcycle rider since 5....street rider since 16 that no way I will not ride my Harley over the Vette...

But owning a Harley or another brand is not for everyone...

Default Bikes VS Vette.

Someone above has mentioned that Harleys cannot get up over 45...well I have to say that is not a correct statement...Maybe not as fast as some but its a life style and I enjoy it...Have swung my leg over just about every kind of cycle since 1960 and I can say that nothing in my life now can top my Harley or my Vette...yes I am old...57...but what the hell...I earned the right to have quality..

I also live in the town which Makes Harleys...York PA...and proud they are here..

Here is a pic of what I did for 20 years for a Hobby...Drag Racing Motorcycles...at 8.15 @ 165...i know a little bit about quickness

I hear ya. Just joking. I love riding motorcylces in the dirt. I don't trust the idiots in cars & trucks out there enough to ride on the street.

Same thing happened to me last year. This will be the first season without a bike in 25+ years. It's not if you fall off it's when. At least once a season some $hit head would try and push me into the pavement. Once you start to loose your vision and reaction time it's time to find another hobby. Love my c6 vert but I know I'm going to miss my riding friends.

I had a V65 Magna for 21 years and really enjoyed it during the summer. After getting my Vert, I had to start planning when to ride the bike. Getting that fresh air feeling is just great when I can do it wearing shorts and a t-shirt, rather than jeans and a leather jacket, helmet and boots. Eventually I was just riding the bike as a formality, so I sold it...and never looked back.

Not one drop of oil ever dripped from that bike in 21 years.
