Question about Throttle body Trouble code/ issue/problem
I have a 2005 corvette C6 with 19,000 miles. Recently I am getting service traction control and service engine with reduced engine power waring lights intermittently. I have checked the code and every single time the code is P2135 . which indicates an error in the throttle body and how the computer reads the movement of the internal "flap" . as it turns out the throttle body has to be replaced since it is not a serviceable part.
MY dilemma is that the correct part number AC delco for the 2005 corvette is 217-1617 and it sells for about $350 NEW.
BUT the throttle body for the later LS3 engines sells for about $150 NEW and is part number 217-3153 and is for the 2009-2012 corvettes.
Can I use the cheaper throttle body on my car that is designed for the 2009-2012 corvette ?
ANYONE know if there is really any difference ?
