Default clear bra time

Well, I made the decision to have a 3M clear bra installed on our 2013 Grand Sport. Spendy - but less expensive than a paint job. We're going in tomorrow morning for the nose (up to mid hood), behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels. Total will be around $800. with tax. This will make me feel a lot less nervous about driving on the highway or track.

I think you'll be glad you did. I did mine close to three years ago. Interestingly, having it redone in a couple of weeks as the film has begun to develop a milky haze. It will wash/rub off but then comes back. XPEL is on it but being replaced with SunTek. It's all warranty work.

If the car was a lighter color might never notice the haze that develops. It stands out on black. From talking to the installer he said XPEL has acknowledged the issue. No fight from them at all, of course the installer arranged it all so guess I don't really know.

Might be something to inquire about though...

I agree although I went with Xpel. I had it installed today actually. I looked at the high-end bras from the vendors but didn't want to hassle with putting in on and taking it off. It looks great and I'm pleased...so far. I had the bikini, half hood/fenders, mirrors, rear brake inlets, headlights and fog lights for $700 cash from a guy in South Elgin, IL. Great guy and experience. I was soooo paranoid riding around with no protection. My wife calls it the car condom. Good luck and enjoy worry free driving.

I went with SunTek. I didn't want to go with the hood since the line is easy to see on white.

I think you should go with the full hood. Half the hood looks tacky IMO

I too debated over the "bikini hood"and the whole hood ... and when I pulled up at the installers place they had a black bently that only had a bikini hood done ... and it made up my mind ... FULL HOOD it is ....

Second thought thru my head was if you had the cash for a Bently why not do the whole front end? lol

Whatever .... I am totally happy I did the whole hood looks great and no lines

YES FULL HOOD. I did the half hood and hate it. Always see the line across the hood. Might not be that bad if you have a light color car.

loved my clear-bra so much i just replaced it after six years of daily-driven use with lots of damage. the paint and body underneath were/are fine. i did the half-hood 'bikini cut' the first time and this time too. no regrets.

Best $500 I have spent yet. I had XPEL put on and only if you tell someone will they even figure it out! It has saved me money already from BS on the highway and all the retards driving on it. TY CLEAR-PRO.COM

I made sure they did the fronts of the rear fenders and down thru the rear wheel scoops. I also had them do a "push" pad , where you push down on the rear hatch for the catch to lock, and had them run a strip across the back to protect the top rear when loading stuff into the rear cargo hatch.

Let put it this way. I hit a concrete curb with the front on my car. I was going slow in a parking lot and it rubbed right near the replaceable air dam. The paint was fine and so was the clear bra.
