I have been using an electric leaf blower I bought at Wally World for a few years now. Works fine and it cost @ $50

Buy one - it's definitely worth the money. It does a great job (works MUCH better than a leaf blower) and it's built like a tank.

Just cough up the 330 and you will be very happy with it. The guys that are happy with their leaf blowers have never used a master blaster and have no clue on what a difference 8 hp makes. 58,500 feet per minute is just crazy

I take my car to the local "Splash" HAND WASH for $17.00 & I get a FREE wash every 10th wash, also if I get it washed, & it should get dirty within 3 days they redo it for FREE..

No brushes or spinning things hit the car, just big mittions on the washers hands, & they also put tire black on the tires! & do the windows inside.. and of course vacuum it... in fact they use a towel and clean the 4 exhaust tips .. A VERY NICE JOB..

I just sit on the couch, & drink a Pepsi

I hated to spend the money, but it's a good investment. Washed my car this morning and took 10 minutes to dry it with warm air. Made a pita job real easy.

I wonder how Metro equates Horse Power to Amps. It is a know fact that 1 HP = 746 watts (in round numbers). They say you need a 20 Amp circuit to run their 8 HP (peak) motors (2 4 HP motors). If they truly have two 4 HP motors you would have:

8 HP * 746 watts / 120 volts = 49.73 Amps to run these motors. They claim 19 Amps.

Although I do not contest the fact that they are great machines, how do they make such a claim?

58,500 ft/min air flow what exactly dos that mean?

I'm sure it does a great job and I might buy one if I get tired of drying mine by hand but don't the stats sound a little over the top.

Last month I bought one from a friend, used, for $100.. Stopped at Lowe's on the way home.and picked up a 12', 1 1/2" shop-vac hose for it.. Made all the difference, now have a total of 22' of hose.. Oh yeah, I'm totally pleased with it.. And I too had been using my grass blower for many years..

Never thought about it before but the math above is correct, they have to be lying about the horsepower rating, even if only one motor was running at a time you would still be over the amperage rating.

The 8 hp is the units output; 19 amps is its electrical consumption. One does not equal the other.

You can't comment on it until you've tried it. It is expensive but to some of us, worth it. Compared to the cost of some of our mods, it's irrelevant.

I don't know about anyone else but I don't keep track of what I spend or it wouldn't be a hobby.

There's 746 watts in one Horsepower rating 746x8= 5968 watts divide that by the applied voltage and you will get the operating amps not accounting for any power factors such as 3 phase anyway 5968 /120=46.25 amps that would be the power needed for an 8 HP motor ohms law or check the ugly's electrical handbook.

That would be correct. It take more than 19 amps to run an eight horsepower motor or two 4 HP motors. I think it is a great unit I just don't understand their advertising.
