Considering all of the C6 owners who've installed wide-body kits and/or Z06 wheels on base Corvettes, I'd say that an updated headlight kit is a rather mild upgrade that goes far to improve the C6 look.
Since seeing the C7 headlights, I've wondered how they'd look on my red C6. Now that I've seen that Photoshop of it, I think they look really good. I hardly think that upgrading to C7-style headlights makes one a poser.

my belief has always been that if you like something just go ahead and do it. Who the hell cares what other people think, and what exactly is a "poser"

I personally like the headlights on my C6. I would never modify my GS with a C7 headlight kit. Nothing wrong if others may want to. I bought my car because I like it the way the factory made it. I was just voicing my opinion.

The actual C7 headlight would be next to impossible to use on a C6 mainly due to the onboard computer inside the headlight that controls the operations of the various lights.
With that said Andrew6 and I are currently researching do a C6 version of the C7 look with the current light/bezel to incorporate more LED's and an option for a Back lit Jake, C6 emblem or the bow tie.
I am also getting final approval to be able to supply the C7 OEM headlight lens.
I saw an aftermarket DRL set-up like the C7 that is designed to fit under the existing headlight cover for the C6. Might want to Google it and see what you find.
Don't agree with the "if you want to look like a C7, then go buy one" comments. Taking parts from other models and adapting them to your car is what hot rodders have been doing for decades.
Those lights look pretty cool on the C6.
The dealer ordered me a set of the C7 rims & tires for my 08,that is all i want from the C7 at this time....

I'll take a set with the C6 symbol.
Please keep us informed about your progress with sketches and or photos when possible.
Never like the small outer headlamp looking lens on the C6.
Think they could come up with a pod that looks similar to a
C7. It would also be cool if they could come up with
a C7 rear light arrangement. Those big round taillights are
large, Doing this sure would be cheaper than 70k for a
new C7

Now if you want something really cool , adapt some C5 headlights in your C6 !

The ones in the post directly above this are the ones pictured by others here and what I saw at the Prescott, AZ, Vette show a month or so ago. Mike Brown is a nice guy also and here is his C6:
