Default Got an offer I couldn't refuse...

...But I did!!! So I'm driving home from getting gas in the Vette and a woman (mid to late 30s pulls up next to me in a late model Ford Tempo and asks: "I'll trade you this car and my kids for your Corvette." I told her the way I could afford my Corvette is because I got rid of my kids. . She asks me how fast I've had it and compliments my car and I say thank you. Then she asks if I want to race title for title and I respectfully decline. All the while her 3 kids are checking out the Vette. All in all a positive exchange. Totally opposite of my post from last week...I like it...Even Steven!!!

Gee, is there such a thing as a "late model" Ford Tempo?

If so (that she IS a dancer) be careful that her biker bf doesn't catch you flirting with her on the street------ you'll see what the undercarriage of the Vette looks like without even lifting the car

We had a similar experience on a road trip with some other club members, 3 Corvettes parked at the gas station. Minivan with Mom & Dad and 3 kids pulls up beside us. Mom says "I'll trade you our car and the kids for your Corvette." She sounded tired.
I said, truthfully; "There's a time for everything. We had more fun with our kids than we've ever had with the car. Enjoy the kids now and get the car when it's time."

She looked a little surprised and relieved to hear that...

Always had a vette since I'm 18 always worked my *** off. Had kids later in life, 40's. Yes I drive it less but I drive it more than most guys do. it's an '11 and did 12K first year. My daughter is 4 and loves to hear it rev up. She tells me how it's her car. And it will be. can't wait till she gets a little bigger and we can ride together! Consider myself lucky as i didn't wait and will still have it and turn it over to the kids. The Traverse is the family truck but the Z is me most days!

I walked out of the grocery store, two bags in hand.

I was parked away from all other vehicles. I get to my car and there is a guy in a Honda Accord circling my car over and over... LOL. I just stood there trying to figure a way into his circling so I could get to it. He finally noticed me and just kinda straightened the wheel and went and parked.

Best reaction I've ever gotten. I knew what he was thinking but didn't have to spend any time having the same tired convo of "how fast?" "trade ya!" ad nauseam

If a 1994 is a "late model." That was the last year they were produced, mercifully.

Strange women asking for rides, women offering to show body parts if they can just sit in it, what us guys have to put up with just to own one of these cars is really rather alarming. Of course, this has never happened to me........................BUT, if it did, I would naturally politely decline.
