I had the exact same problem with my '08. It turned out to be a sulfated battery. When I accelerated to pass on the highway I would smell sulfur dioxide (rotten egg smell). At high speeds there is enough air pressure to force leaked air from the battery into the cabin.
I replaced the battery and the smell was gone!
BTW, I just bought a new '13 Grand Sport today. Will post photos and more later.
I think hydrocarbon.... I dont know what open loop means?
Under normal operation, the car looks at oxygen sensor data to determine how rich / lean engine is running. It adjusts fuel injector pulse width to keep with a specified air fuel ratio. At wide open throttle, it does not look at O2 sensor. It uses tables to control fuel injectors. Exhaust smell changes under that condition.

As evrose said, I rather enjoy the smell .
I get the exhaust smell in cabin when wide open too. y does the smell enter the cabin though? y not all go out the pipes?
