I have a 2013 GS and I bought LEDs for the dome lights.. I am having a hard time taking out the stock bulbs because the housings they are in are deep and narrow. I can't get my fingers in enough to pull out the bulbs to replace them...
If so, get a small cable tie and slip it over the bulb toward the back, tighten it and pull; comes out fairly easy then. That's how I got mine out. Some also use fishing line.

Well now I have the way to do it, But i tried with string last night for a solid 30 minutes and struggled... Just make a loop with it and put it around it and pull? What worked best for you guys as far as making a loop and putting it around so it stays?
Just tried floss too... im making a loop and everything its just impossible to pull and keep the string or floss from not just pulling off from the bulb.. they've never been removed before so they are in there tight.
I guess I'll have to try the zip tie way too.. I've had a ton of patience, but it gets frustrating when you realize that the design wasn't meant for changing bulbs that's for sure!
Just in case some people run into this problem too.. try duck tape.. cut them in thin strips, wrap it around the bulb let it sit for a minute and get a grip and pull hard.. finally worked for me
These I tried everything and then tried these. You can grab the bulbs no problem and they won't break. I've done my car, my buddy's, and my trailblazer ss and never broke the bulb. Slide it to the larger position and just use lite pressure.

Floss - long piece with wide loop in the MIDDLE, then use a toothpick or something thin to push over the bulb. Tighten slowly ONLY when loop is topmost at the narrowest point (bulb base) slowly tug - you may need a couple of yanks and it will drop to the cup holder. Take your time, it is worth it. I get compliments on my LEDs!
I tried the fishing line loops, needle nose vise grips and finally gave up after breaking one and took the mirror off. That makes it so much easier. 45 degree turn and mirror releases from the base. Makes it so much easier. Would have saved some back pain from the twisting. Glad you finally got it though.
