Think of it this way: they're overpaying you for your car (very nice but clearly not worth $25K) by $5K. And you are overpaying for a '12 that is used, even if not titled, by $5K. Either one, or both could be more dollars.
Just one thing to check: not titled, as long as in-service date will be the day you buy it, which means 3/36 begins then, as does 5/100. And make sure those are facts written, not words spoken. That's the deal if you ask me.
Can you do better? Probably, somewhere, I just don't know where at the moment. Clearly, you like the car, the dealer, the condition of the car, and the amount they are paying you for your old (but very nice) car. So, what is left to do?

I agree, buy it. It is always possible that you could find a better deal out there somewhere, but it is a crap shoot. Provided the car is the color and is equipped the way you want, you may as well spring for it. If you really like the new C7, however, I would wait a year or two and get one of these.

Its a Demo, just make sure they start the mileage at the current mileage, not anything else. It sounds like a good deal, and go get that C6 and enjoy it!!!!!!!!! You will be pleasantly surprised!!!! between your C5 and that new C6......

I did a little research (nothing better to do this afternoon) and checked the trade-in values as listed in Edmunds for both cars, fully optioned on both, with 20,000 miles on yours. I got about $15,000 for yours and a little over $52,000 for theirs (see a previous post that got over $53,000). Doing a trade-in to trade-in value trade would mean they should be asking at least $37,000 so if they gave you the Corvette owners $3,000 that would get the price down to about what they are asking. If the car is what you want as far as color, tranny etc. I would do the walking, actually running, back to the dealer ASAP before someone else gets it. Good luck.

Hello, all!
I've owned Vettes for 21 years -- first a 1992 coupe (purchased new) and now, a 2004 MN6 coupe. Always the bargain hunter, I'm looking for clearance-priced new C6 Vettes. I bought my new C5 just before the C6 arrived and saved lots of money. With the C7 nearly here, I'm on the prowl.
Here's a car that's available at a Chevy dealer that I've purchased many cars from over the last two decades. They are not thieves. The car is a 'new' 2012 (yep, that's 2012, not 2013) Grand Sport convertible, MN 6 with 4LT package. As far as I can tell, it has every option except auto transmission and colored brake calipers (it appears to me that standard caliper color on GS is sliver, and that's what this car has.)
MSRP on the car is $78,100. They are offering this car for $58,900.
Here's the rub: The owner of the dealership has driven this car, and there are about 2800 miles on it. I've looked this sled over three times, and it still looks perfect to me. Even the air damn looks undamaged. The owner must weigh less than 100 lb. because the driver's seat doesn't have any of the all-too-common driver's seat lower bolster creases and wrinkles that appear all too quickly. The paint, supersonic blue, isn't all full of scratches and swirls -- and I've seen this car in its current non-detailed condition.
I've been assured that if I purchase this car, I will receive full factory warranty as well as full freebie periods for Sirius/XM and OnStar. This car has never been titled and is technically still new.
I've read that GS stock tires have a somewhat limited life, so they are indeed used.
Treating this Vette like it is a USED car, I priced it using Edmunds, KBB and NADA. These are all dealership RETAIL prices.
Edmunds: $61,051 certified. (With 2800 miles, it would be certified)
KBB: $60,792
NADA: $60,600
What sweetens the deal IMHO, they offered me $25,000 for my silver 2004 coupe. Admittedly, my car is low mileage and very, clean, but it is 9 years old. No mechanical mods, but is does have a Vette Essentials custom interior. (And I do realize that we should not expect higher values for mods, and that certain mechanical mods can actually lower the value.)
Trade-in values, 2004 coupe:
Edmunds: $15,720 (ouch, friggin' cruel!)
NADA: $21,025
KBB: $25,000
This pic is from the Vette Essential website, but mine looks just like this.
$33,900 would be the final price (w/out tax, plates, etc.) So, what do you think? All opinions greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Your first paragraph sounds just like me! Sounds like Warren Buffett rules for buying stocks. I just bought a 2011 GS SSB (nice color too) Coupe with 6 speed and 4LT package for $48k with 900 miles - car is perfect! Yours is a 2012 so price seems pretty good. I just sold my 2001 C5 last fall and my sale price wasn't close to what your getting plus you don't have the hassle of trying to sell it and save on sale tax too! Go for it and enjoy!

A couple of things. The car will be titled as new since the dealer still has the MSO. Once the MSO is turned over to the state to register the car it becomes a used car. The warranty has already started on the car so you need to know the In Service Date of the vehicle. That will tell you how many months you have left on the various warranties that come with the car: B2B, Powertrain, Emissions, etc.
Based on what you have said this sounds like a great deal. If the car is what you want snap it up since it will not last long once others find out about it. Think of it this way; you are getting a low mile basically new car with an actual warranty. There are lots of people on this forum that pay premium $ to get the same kind of car without a warranty (have no idea why they think they get a good deal).

Get it if its got everything you want. Two weeks ago I brought my 04 in to the dealer to just look at a newer C6. I've been looking for about a year to trade up. They had an 07 I liked but it didn't have the options I wanted. They did have an 08 with everything I wanted plus more. It drives so much better than my 04. And the car only has 9900 miles on it. The dealer got it from a collector. He needed room for his new 2014 Stingray. You won't be disapointed. I'm not.

The warranty started on the in service date. You should have this dealer pull records from GM . Service dept can do this.
20 K off sticker is good. That's what paid on my holdover 06 in 08.
Sticker started at 58 and I got it for 38 , it had 100 miles on it.
Ask me how I know.?
