Fob problem
I have had a few incentences with the fob not working. It didn't open the door and when the door open, it shown no fob detected? What is going on? Sometime it just work fine? It is very frustrating not knowing if the next will work or not. Please help.

That's what mine started doing when the Fob battery needed to be replaced.

What year C6 do you have?
Are you aware that new fob batteries are approximately 2 for $5?
Are you also aware that GM says average fob battery life is about 3 years?
Maybe you're making something difficult out of this when it doesn't need to be.

Your C6 is a 2008?
Get new fob batteries!
But first read this:

In the meantime, next time you get "No FOB Detected", use the glovebox slot:
This should work even with a dead battery in the fob.

Also, not trying to insult you, but do you know how to use the metal key?
Once you've opened the hatch/trunk, look on the left side for 2 pull-tabs... one opens the driver's door, the other opens the fuel door.
Also, lots of owners hide a spare key under the car. It's cheap insurance, in case you lock the fob in the car (easier than you think).
You can get a spare key made at most key shops. Under $10. Tell 'em to use key blank B-106 (same as a Saturn key).

How many do you have?
If you have 2, then the third will add using the short program.
If you have 1, then you need to use the long program to make the FOBs #1 & #2 to maintain "memory functions" Key FOB designated #3, by the car, will not function for "Memory" but it will function to operate the car it just won't remember the presets that #1 & 2 will.

My #1 fob got washed 2 weeks ago and I broke the cover and the small little tap, it doesn't close tight. Do someone sell just the cover?

I haven't found a replacement case -- yet. They are available for other fobs (search ebaymotors for "fob case").
For a new fob, shop around for best price. I'd start at
gmpartshouse.com &
partstaxi.com .
Or on-the-cheap, a simple cover might hold your fob together. (Much better than duct tape.

Also not slippery, so less likely to drop 'em. And different colors for fob 1 & 2. And bright colors, so easier to see 'em & not get misplaced.
These definitely fit the C6 fob with integral key. Not sure if the earlier C6 fob (with separate key) is the same size.
