I live close enough to the Gulf that it seldom rains in the summer here. It rains 10 miles inland almost every day but not here because of the sea breeze. But this year we seem to have had a continous wind from the north west and it has rained almost every day for the past couple of months. Just saw last night that in July we had 21". An average of 2/3" every day! I know I need to mow the grass because I can see some sticking up above the water.
As far as water from the wipers or opening the door, I am more concerned when getting in an out while washing the car. If I'm driving in the rain (which I do when I go into town because town is inland and it rains inland) I don't notice. You're supposed to get a little wet if you are going out in the rain.
Yeah, that's on of my gripes too. And I assume you mean the window is barely cracked, not really open. And yes, it dumps water all over you when you open the door.
My C5 did that also. Was hoping they would have corrected it. I guess fixing it would require some ugly gutters above the windows though.
The C6 is an aerodynamic sports car. Air/water is designed to flow in a certain direction. Open a window in rain and you change the direction water goes.
LMAO..... I've driven my Corvettes thousands of miles in the rain.... even drive my Ferrari in the rain.... good grief, these are just cars... and a little water on you? Wow....

I live with it but it doesn't stay dirty. This got washed in the dark after I got home. I knew I would not sleep knowing it was this dirty. I bought this new in Jan 2006 and this is the dirtiest it has ever been. We went on a 150 mile cruise with our Vette club and it rained almost the entire time. We still had fun.
The tv folks are always talking about a drought how long it will take to fill up lake Lanier. Well it filled up in one season and now it's raining every day and we still have even odd days to water lawns and wash cars.
