I bought a used 2005 coupe several years ago. The car had 39k when I got it. I traded it on the Z06 with 78k on it. Loved that car. Only problem I had was drivers side door actuator went out.

Most 2005's have had all recalls done by now. I personally wouldn't worry about anything. Just look the car over, but with that low miles, its been sitting in somebody's garage.

Knowing what I know, I would certainly do the SCL bypass fix if it's an '05 MN6. IMO only a matter of time and cycling on/off before it starts to fail. And when it does it typically leaves you dead in the water every few weeks or so, along with multiple tows and visits to the dealer. $80 piece of mind. Without this bypass kit being available I would never recommend an '05 MN6.

Are the new fuse blocks less prone to the affects of heat by being better insulated or is it a matter of routine replacement?? Did the dealer explain? Thanks Allen

Good to know! Up until now the only info I've had for DBS was to park the car in reverse. My bad you had also mentioned the "reflash'" which I have yet to research (with the work scedule and all). Thanks Hoonose!

Note: There is a recall for low beam headlights going off. The main copper wire in the fuse box flexis over time and causes it to break ( fracture) so you get a intermittent low beam headlight happening. I had a 07 vet with 27K mi never happened to me. I just had my 2013gs up graded with Rcall notice. No Big deal tech. took about .30 min to add jumper wire to system, so this would not happen to my vet. Check recal notices and you can get this fix for no cost!!! happy vetting grat cars Steve
