Hi guys, was backing out of a parking space then pulling ahead slowly and activehandlingengaged. I stopped and the DIC went blank then started and it engaged again. I turned off the car then back on and things have been fine ever since. I had the recall work done a couple years back on the SWPS "clip". The car is a 2005 C6, no winters, no rain. Could be a glitch or maybe my SWPS is going bad. Similar experiences anyone? And yes I have read about posts with regard to "Service ActiveHandling" at speeds and SCARRY...Mine just said "ActiveHandling" as in engaged without any error codes.
The steering column wiring is certainly a possible problem, people also report that a bad wheel sensor can do something similar.
I'd suggest taking it to someone who can read ALL the codes (that might be a dealer, I'm not sure) and see if any show up. If not, have them do a visual inspection of the wiring around the wheel hubs.
If all else fails, next time it happens, take it to the dealer and don't shut it down until you have discussed how they are going to read the codes.
