I just checked the link at http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT...8AAAE.BmZoq6ID and they are offering $40 off the $199 price of a 2013 navigation update plus free shipping until December 31st. My guess is there will be a new update in 2014 and they are discounting the last of their stock to get it sold before it becomes obsolete. I am a new '06 owner and will consider this. However, I want to make sure the internal software is up to date first. Probably will require a trip to the dealer but I have yet to find one who really knows much about the high-tech navigation systems in the cars they sell.

There WERE two free updates for the 2007 but that offer expired in 2009. At this point you have to buy an update. Lots of them on EBay although it is illegal for an individual to sell or even give away discs unless it is in association with the sale of the car for which the disc was originally purchased. Are the police going to show up if you give away a disk? No, but it is illegal.
