Help with Mods
Three questions for my 2011 GS Automatic trans
1. does GM make and or sell any headers for the LS3
2. If I have the dealer install the headers will it void the 3year 36K
3. Will this mod make a noticable difference

To the best of my knowledge GM does not make headers. I'm partial to LG Pro long tube headers but Kook's and American Racing are other well respected brands. True long tube headers entails the removal of the OEM catalytic converters and any alteration, relocation or removal of the OEM catalytic converters is a violation of federal law (unless for "off road"/track use). You'll have to check with your dealership but I think it's a safe assumption any performance modifications, including long tube headers, will adversely affect your factory (power train) warranty. However rare, some dealerships may make exceptions so do some independent, local research. I don't know about for the LS3 but there used to be what was referred to as "shorty" headers....those may allow use of the factory cats but they're likely still construed as a performance modification by GM. Irrespective shorty headers were considered virtually worthless as a performance mod. Yes, true long tube headers make a noticeable performance improvement but ultimately you'll have the weigh the pros and cons. Good luck!
