I need to protect myself from myself ! Is there a rpm limiter that's built into the computer that can be adjusted via laptop or an aftermarket device ? Thanks, Ron
As mentioned, for a stock C6 the factory set threshold is fine and shouldn't require any adjustment. The acquired skill is knowing when to shift at WOT....before you bump the rev-limiter. With a little practice you should be able to tell when you're approaching the end of the power band in any given gear. Consider hitting the rev-limiter once or twice as a learning experience. Until you develop a 'feel' for when to shift (or if all else fails) glance at the tach in the HUD or instrument cluster. Good luck.
Can it be reprogrammed to, let's say, 5750+- ? Ron
Any number above an idle is possible. If your teenager was taking it out for the night with his buddy, you could even set it for 1500 and limit his top speed to 75 MPH.
