I wish, not in VA? Ramp is speed of the road you just left, not the speed of where your going. Friend just got nailed on this bs.
BS is indeed right. I'd take that to court. Entering the interstate which has a 70mph speed limit doing 35mph (the road you just left) is nonsense. Back in the 1900's when I took driver's ed, I was taught to enter at the speed of the traffic.
I bought a Z06 instead of Camry so that I could go wide open throttle, body pushed into the seat, engine roaring, gravel-splashing, ripping past the 370Zs and boxters and mustangs. I try to slide the rear out on corners when I can, and I'm not very good at it.
I have a 3.8 mile commute to work through city streets, and even then, the only thing that keeps me from going WOT in between street lights is the fact that the oil temps haven't warmed up yet.
But I respect that vette drivers come in all types and each serve their purpose: those that always garage their vettes and never go WOT are basically keeping their vettes nice for me until I buy it from them.

3. Do you put a model of your car on the intake at car shows?
4. Do you keep the RPM's below 3k because its "tough" on the engine?

Whew, 0 for 4 but I do have a model of my car I bought at Carlisle this year because I scored it, but it's on a shelf in the garage... I did find a leftover 2012 Black Callaway priced very right but with finances the way they are in retirement I guess it will never happen, so I will just have to keep reading your posts about driving an E force Vet, keep em coming.

I have opened up in a '69 427, '00 Convertible and most often in a '93 40th Anniversary. I do not do it very often for fear of getting pulled over or getting in a wreck. I do it when the situation is right and I am not around other traffic. The feel of the road is astonishing in the Corvette's.
I have been on a track once and I would like to do more of that!
I bought the 2009 Vert for one reason, that is to floor it when I hear the four horsemen bearing down on me. At 7 decades plus 5 I hope my hearing stays good enough to pick up the rumble.
