Upper Control Arm
While having new brakes installed we discovered the nut on the ball joint ( left rear ) had loosened allowing the bolt to move which reamed out the hole in the upper control arm. Fortunately this was discovered prior to major damage being done.
Had to replace the upper control arm, everything else seemed to be ok.
My C6 is a 2005 Z51.
Thought I would share this so others could check their cars.
