Coolant/ engine temp.sensor
Where is the sensor that monitors the coolant /engine temperature located at on a LS3? For the past week when i take my short ride at speeds of 40-45 MPH my coolant temp will go from 189 to 198 then back down then back up 
Coolant level is fine.What else could it be??....

With the cap removed, start the engine and allow to the engine to idle.
Allow the engine to idle for approximately 4 minutes.
Slowly fill the coolant mixture until the level stabilizes at the base of the surge tank fill neck.
Run the engine between 2,000-2,500 RPM for approximately 2 minutes.
Allow engine to idle and add approximately 1 liter (1.1 quarts) of coolant to the surge tank.
Install the coolant pressure cap.
Shut the engine OFF.
Allow the engine to cool.
What I usually do is remove the overflow hose from the raditor allowing a passage for air to escape while filling the coolant reservoir.
