Default Turning problem

Quick question. 2010 GS stock wheels and tire size's (tire have been changed to M Pilot SS)
When leaving a parking space and cut wheel- giving a little gas I feel 2 jarring "bumps" with a clunk noise. It happens either direction. Once moving this does not seem to happen. Drivability is good and there is not any shake in the car. If I just turn the wheel side to side with out any movement-the steering is fine. Any ideas on this as the car is new to me and this does not seem normal. Thanks

Normal. You have wide tires up front and they tend to slide at very slow speeds.

As mentioned, when making slow, 'full' turns (like in a parking lot) it's normal for the wide front tires to 'scrub' somewhat. Go slow when maneuvering and relax....it's nothing to worry about it.

Tire scrub happens with wide tires at slow speeds and very tight turns. It's even worse in cold weather.

It's normal, but can be unsettling the first time you experience it. Usually posted a couple times a month with new owners.

Normal for wide tires.

I posed the same question a few weeks ago when I first brought my '12 GS conv. home and was told the same as well as the concept of "Ackerman Steering"......still find it a bit disconcerting......

Gotta laugh as I know what you mean. Seeing other makes post the same question and hearing the same response as those kind enough to post here, removes all concerns. All the other pluses more than make up for it
