Default advice on splash guards please

I bought a set of z06 rear splash guards. I didn't realize that the wide body guards are different than the base c6. I have a base c6. Has anyone put the Z06 guards on a base C6? Advice would be appreciated. Otherwise, one of you guys should contact me about a new in the wrapper NOS set for sale cheap. Thanks.

I wouldn't think they will fit. I've had three sets of spash guards on my C6. First were Altec. I knew as soon as I put those on they weren't for me. Looked like they belonged on a truck. Second I went with Naked Parts. Very good set and did the job for sure. But, when GM came out with their own for the 'narrow body' C6 I had to have them. They look like the car should have come from the factory with those on.

agree w. above. don't sell super cheap but price them to move. GM ones fit but you do have to be careful how you align it before you screw it in, and two-side tape it. otherwise there will be gaps. minor, but there. measure twice. as the saying goes.

When I bought my new 2007 there were no splash guards available so I took the Z-06 guards and modified them. What you have to do is cut the reinforcement webbing out to make them more flexible. Next heat them with a heat gun and slightly reshape them to fit the narrow body C-6 rear fender profile. They attach with push pins and VHT double sided tape. It's really not too hard but why go to all that trouble when GM makes them now.

PM me if your interested in a brand new set of OEM guards for a base corvette. They never made their way on my '07 vert before trading it on my Z.
