Had three Vettes over the years..This month I fixed the defroster a couple of times and repaired the lip spoiler and replaced on the 07 more than I can recall from just getting into my driveway.

Dropped by the Chevy dealer to look for parts and came home with a 2014 SS Camaro. Leather all the techy stuff and haven't bottomed out anywhere, and so far nor worried about it, and the defroster works.

Love / Hate with Corvettes is over for me. Best wishes folks

Sorry to see you go, I had a 2013 ZL1, and really liked it but there were other problems with it, that why I sold it. I guess no car is going to be perfect. Good luck with the SS.

I have a 45th aniv. Camaro.
l do like driving it, but it is no Corvette.
I also have a 2007 Vette and at 100k miles it has eaten more money than any car I have ever owned.
The leather interior of the Camaro is much better than the Vette.

Sorry to hear you had so many problems.

My 07 has been great, only 2 trips for service in 7 yrs/118,000 miles.
Luck of the draw I guess.

Hope you have better luck with the SS.

You shouldn't have bought another Chevy man . When I sell my '12 GS, no more GM cars for the rest of my life. Gave it several chances, and even after 8 years of production, Vettes still have a ton of nagging issues that should have been corrected LOOOONG ago. Yes, there's no perfect car (by a long shot), but GM's build quality borders on kit car. Good luck with the Camaro.

Maybe I'm not very picky. I have an '05 with 100,000 miles. Reliable as hell. Very quiet. Lots of power. Love it.

My Mom is on her 2nd Camaro and has had good luck with both of them. She really enjoys 'em. Her first one took one heck of a hit from a semi and was totaled.

that is why gm has both car and truck of the year.people can drive whatever they like,so just buy another brand and be happy.when you build millions of units every year you are going to have a defect or a bad supply from a vendor.sad ,but that is the way of mechianical things.that is why they give you a warrenty.and if that does not cure the problem, just buy a new one.thats what I do and I am happy almost all the time.

question, how come you bought a new camero and not a new vette?do not get me wrong I like the camero also.your vette was 7 years old.you did not mention how many miles were on it or what type of driving or condition it was in.

My question is...why did you have to repair the defroster twice? Also, there are things that you can do to keep from bottoming out or scratching the front spoiler. But anyway, good luck with the Camaro.
