Don't try it here either. Douglas County, KS has a 5 mph "grace" and you'll get a moving violation ticket for as little as 6 over.

Found out the hard way - got my first ticket in years with the cruise on passing a cop I saw way in advance. 62 in a 55.

Good luck.

its actually 3 sets; it has to be an "average" speed which is in favor or the person driving. Airspeed is stupid, they always call out lowball speeds when I can just use laser on an overpass and call it out and get 90's all day long............

still haven't got my check in the mail yet for all those speeding tickets I wrote, isnt part of a revenue agent getting a kick back? WTF!!!!!!!

Everybody has a job to do and I don't want yours, so more power to ya! If it was up to me you'd get a split, but unfortunately, it isn't...

As posted before. You'd be amazed at the number of "real" criminals that are arrested during traffic stops.

Yea, just like "stop & frisk". How many basically honest people do have to harass to catch that "real" criminal?

Same goes for Kimble County, TX and right around east of Deming, NM. They have the same "mentality."

I will flash on the highway when I see a trooper hiding off the side of the road. I have been saved in the past before a had a detector by someone who flashed me.

I am one who strongly believes that speeding tickets on major highways/Interstates are nothing more than a revenue generation tool. In my view there is no element of "safety" in ticketing speeders on highways despite what some will say. I'm sure they do find some legitimate criminals while pulling speeders over once and a while. Just keep in mind that even a blind squirrel will find a nut every once and a while

Those believing that Escort Live will save you should know that many LEO's are on to this and will hide out in spots that Live has tagged as a false alert area. I have a colleague who got a whopper of a ticket and his escort never made a sound. Apparently the LEO laughed when he saw his detector and said "We're wise to those now". I suspect as time passes, more and more police departments will sit in spots that Live has tagged as known false alarm areas.

Well I do have all the radar protecter escort 9500ix with the escort live synced via Bluetooth on my iphone 5s ,have the waze app to and use them all the time when I drive for some years now and so fare I have been lucky never had a ticket last 10 years ( knock on wood 3 times)lol .i think they are keeping me safe like not doing stupid things on the road.Being on the road all over the 48 lover states (Truck driver ) you now have seen a lots of things like accidents the flushing of lights to the incoming tra fi may help people from fatal accident bye warning them so they can slow down and avoid accident .Well saving life's I thing maters more then anything else .now in some states while you drive like 10-15 miles over the limit on the highway I don't thing is the end of the world that a Cop give you ticket ruins you day losing work to go on court ,insurance goes up $$ & more, when we now that the technology on the brakes of any automobile on the road is a lot whey better then 15-20 years ago except on bad weather you can controll your car in seconds to stop.most of as driving we never pay attention on the speedo like all the time so flushing your headlight can help others to bring their attention back ,so I always do help others out there all the time .if thy wanna ban headlight why we have radar detectors with live gps tracking Leo's their cameras ,lazer ,& more .to me is just helping others hardworking people on the road and I appreciate every body else that is doing the same thing when they pressing that litle buton on the escort live ,on the app WAZE or simply flushing ther headlight Thanks ))) .Meybe some people don't agree with me but this is my opinion ,so for unsafe driver like racing on the street or drunk drivers my help don't apply .So fellow drivers and Corvetters drive safe keep waiving and keep flashing your good looking sharp bright HEADLIGHTS .WE pay are taxes to our country so police officers can get paId & support their family's and fighting crime the real crime, not going after somebody flashing headlight helping me you every citizen going 5-10-15 miles over the speed limit .WOOOWW I CAN'T BELIVE I WROTE ALL THIS LONG OF A COMENT HAAAA.

I know some companies have a strict 65mph limit, such as Swift. The dispatch gets a call every time they break it. A lot are not governed though. I had a couple trucks maintaining 80mph with me on Sunday. I definitely wouldn't want to be in front of them if they have to stop, 80k lbs would take a long time from that speed.

For 5 over you are generally good in Utah with the exception of the 80mph zones, then they are handing out tickets around 83 or so. UHP doesn't use radar either until they zap you. You can drive 75mph thru Salt Lake City (in a 65mph) and they won't blink though as long as you are not weaving in and out of traffic. There is a city on I-15 in central Utah called Fillmore. They are ticket happy there (speed 75 going thru their area, 80 outside of it).

New Mexico will ticket you for doing 76 in a 75, or 70 in a 65, especially near Farmington. At least out in the rural areas the DMV/insurance never sees the ticket. $68 toll though.

Very, very, very few 'criminals' of any importance are arrested during speed traps.. aka 'The money grab'. Given what's been going on in this country for so long, imho, This is exactly the type of attitude and thinking which has led us to the 'police state' that we now live in. The police in fact protect those that are robbing the country blind, sending your jobs overseas, bringing drugs and guns into the country, supporting terrorist (CIA supported or not) and so on and so on. Try getting at those people who are really ******* you and see if you don't put in a choke-hold and get a face full of pepper spray.

One of the few times I have been stopped by a LEO was when he passed me on a PA interstate and a minute later I used my flashers to alert a fast approaching car to his presence some distance ahead. Almost as soon as I turned on the flashers I saw him slow and when I caught up with him he turned on the flashers and pulled me over. I got the trooper's tongue lashing, then he checked the car over for any items he could ticket me for and let me go with a warning. He said what if my father had been driving on the highway and the speeder had an accident with him. I almost said the guy hadn't been driving fast enough to catch my father (which was true) but thought better of it.

They Just Passed a Law here making it illegal to do so here in Ga
Also it Here is Illegal to flash High beams to notify oncoming traffic that they failed to Dim Headlights. And .... Here where it is the 2nd highest population of Deer in the country they had it on the Books to make it A law to only be able to Use High Beam Headlights on Non State Highways and Non Highways.

I wonder what people will do when they "pass a law," as the Georgia example above, that you can't drive your car. So unrealistic is it? Park by pushing a button. Soon, drive by pushing a button. Then, against "the law" to actually drive or control your car on a street or highway.

Yeh, yeh, I know: we're talking about flashing lights and laws and police who ticket you for doing it.

Kinda like speeding about 5 or so mph over the limit. If everyone does something like it, flashing lights, can there be enough police to stop you from doing it? (Let's go back to my example: what if car mfrs. are required to just limit your speed automatically by wires/sensors in the roads connected to sensors in your car? ....)

I wouldn't mind paying the ticket. What sucks is three moving violations in a year, which could easily happen just due to bad luck, and the license is suspended. This, while not being a danger to anybody like say DUI, texters, etc.

Not at all unrealistic considering the current political tilt. But there is a simple answer. We just elect a President who issues an executive order ordering local police to not enforce that law. We have precedent on our side now.

you actually need to be convicted on all three within the year, which, you have to be somewhat stupid for this to happen. All counties, including Dupage for you, give supervision on almost ALL moving violations. Its very rare you run into someone who is suspended for 3 movers in one year; in hindsight, I run into people who have 5, 6 or 7 DUI's and over 50 tickets in their history, yet they are still driving..................riddle me that one.
