hi I'm Canadian I just purchased my first vet 2005 victory red convertible in August 2013, I stored it most of winter, across river from Detroit, but now with snow melting, I drove around town, with my jeep to make sure all snow gone from roads, clean dry some salt marks, everyone is on my case for driving it every time I take it out I power wash it and wax rims. What will it really hurt driving it now, new factory chrome rims. As long as someone doesn't hit me or I loose it, little ice on roads.
It should handle as well as any other 400+ hp rear wheel drive vehicle in icy/snow conditions if you have winter tires!
Many people seem to scoff at getting salt on the underside of a their car (myself included). It is your money and if you plan on selling it in the next 5 to 10 years, it would probably be their problem.
If I lived that far north, I dont think I could go 7-8 months with out driving it. It would be snow shoes all the way!
