The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

They should fit without any additional attaching if they are made for a specific model car. Is this a common problem with this brand? I was going to look into something for my GS as soon as I got back home from a trip.

probably one of the main reasons I opted to go with the invisible mask (plastic)..

On the C5...had to redrill and add extra screws to get the tight fit w/o a gap.
On the 427...driver side great, passenger side top pulls away slightly. Once it warms up I'm going to put an extra screw at the top, and of course will need to do on both sides to match.
Still love the product, like any aftermarket item fitment issues tend to be a problem for the perfectionist.
Looking here on the forum I saw that Jersey posted that long screws are now included because people were having problems with the bottom factory screw being too short. That information really should be included on the paper instructions that come with the guards.
However, once that confusion was cleared up the install was fast and easy.
As to your question about the gap on the top-- I had a definite gap there as well. I think that the gap might not have occurred if I had had an assistant (or four hands!) to carefully hold the guard in place while I drilled.
I could be wrong on that, but in my opinion it doesn't matter-- I simply drilled and installed the (included) optional screw near the top of each guard. Not only did it close the gap, but they feel much more secure/solid with the extra attachment.
As far as hitting the fender or something while drilling; you're already drilling the first hole-- drilling the second is really no different. So I see no reason not to install the extra screw.
In the end I'm very happy with the final result. Solidly mounted, very functional, and looks absolutely like a factory install.
