Default black lug nuts

hey all you black wheel folks

Did you buy new black lugnuts or just paint the existing...

Anyone use an impact with them?

is there an affordable set out there?

I don't have black wheels, but I would think that the first time you removed the wheels if not when you put them on that the paint would chip. I would think that Black lugs would be the way to go. Last point, are you telling us that you can buy a Corvette, then put on custom wheels and you are worried about the price of 20 lug nuts?

We sell a ton of the Gorilla lugs. I've never heard of them chipping, but I suggest using care when removing/installing. They're very durable.

Definitely don't try to paint them. Ugh! I would recommend the black chrome version like supporting vendor, JW Motoring sells.

If those don't meet your need you might consider the black chrome lug nuts made by McGard, I used them on another vehicle for years and they were beautiful and very durable.

ok... additional question.... Valve stems... I have steel ones with the TPMS. How many people with Black rims have black steel stems?

I could paint them couldn't I? Or does everyone just run with a chrome valve stem on their black rims?

I got the black lug nuts from a different forum vendor. They're not matte, but you can't tell once they're on the wheels. Price was good. I'm running the stainless/chrome valve stems. Not sure what to do with them.

well my wheels are going to be off for about 2-3 weeks...so I have plenty of time to paint them black....debating just spraying them...clean them real good and tape off...then rattle can?

just a thought.
