My original Delco battery failed at 23 months and 20,152 miles, the replacement Delco battery failed at an additional 26 months at 38,826. Both failures involved battery acid leaking out into the engine compartment and corrosion of the battery cable clamps.

Changed to an Optima yellow top and have had no problems since.

I jumped started the car and got it home. The drive wasn't more than five miles. Now, all seems fine and the battery appears normal. The battery is five years old so that's in question, but has anyone experienced something similar to this?
I have to believe your battery is about shot has well, similar thing happened to me last year with my 2008 Vert, my lasted just a little over 4 years.
don't risk it, get a new battery.
