My original Delco battery failed at 23 months and 20,152 miles, the replacement Delco battery failed at an additional 26 months at 38,826. Both failures involved battery acid leaking out into the engine compartment and corrosion of the battery cable clamps.
Changed to an Optima yellow top and have had no problems since.

My wife drove the C6 because her vehicle was in the shop. After a short all trip, she couldn't get back into the car. Thinking her fob's battery was shot, I came to the rescue but mine didn't work either; nothing. I got into the trunk with the key and used the manual door release. The battery seems completely dead. I jumped started the car and got it home. The drive wasn't more than five miles. Now, all seems fine and the battery appears normal. The battery is five years old so that's in question, but has anyone experienced something similar to this?
don't risk it, get a new battery.
